The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a free form that students can use to apply for federal financial aid for college or career school: grants, work-study funds, and loans.

  • If you have questions about the FAFSA, call the U.S. Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid Information Center

  • 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243)

  • Twitter chats via @FAFSA and #AskFAFSA

  • Many states run College Goal Sunday programs in the evenings and weekends to provide free help completing the FAFSA

  • Visit www.formyourfuture.org for more information about College Goal Sunday programs in your state (scroll to the bottom)

  • Ask your guidance counselor or the financial aid administrator at a local college or university for help
