Program Application Components: Basic Choice

Dropdown: Add a Dropdown component to your program application form when asking an applicant to select from a long list of items (such as Majors, Languages, School Types).

The Dropdown component will display a dropdown list of response options that can be selected by the applicant. To add available response options to your Dropdown component, select "Edit Options" in the component settings. You will be able to select from a list of predefined response options or add custom response options by selecting "Add Option".

Available predefined response option lists are:

Countries
US States Abbreviated
US States Full
Race/Ethnicity
Preferred Pronouns
Degree Sought
Law School
Languages
Gender
School Type
Major
College Housing

You are able to edit, add, or remove any option(s) on predefined lists.

To allow applicants the option to select more than one response option on the list, click the toggle on "Allow Multiple Selections" in the component settings. If turned on, you will be able to set a "Minimum # of Responses" which will require an applicant to select at least X responses, and/or a "Maximum # of Responses" which will require an applicant to select no more than X responses.

Choice: Add a Choice component to your program application form when asking an applicant to select from a short list of items (such as Yes/No questions).

The Choice component will display a bulleted list of response options that can be selected by the applicant. To add available response options to your Choice component, select "Edit Options" in the component settings. Add custom response options by selecting "Add Option".
